Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir provides music for the 11:00 traditional worship service as well as singing at special community events. New choir members are welcome. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.

Praise Team

The Praise Team provides music for the 9:30 am Praise and Prayer Service. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm.

Handbell Choir

Bells of Praise is a three octave handbell and handchime choir. We practice on Thursday nights at 7pm, September - May, and ring praises to the Lord on the fourth Sunday of the month at the 11am worship service.  We also have had the opportunity to play at the Festival of Wreaths held at Pleasant Day in Cambridge, MD, the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort as well as for other community organizations.  If you have an interest in learning more about the Bells of Praise please contact the church office.

Children's Choir

Under the direction of Karla Wilkins, Zion's children's choir is made up of children who give of their time each Wednesday to practice and one Sunday per month to perform at the 11:00 a.m. service. Not only do the children sing in the choir, they also play toned bells to the delight of the congregation. 

Instruments

 

The pipe organ in the sanctuary was built by M. P. Möller, Inc. of Hagerstown, Maryland in 1963. It has 3 manuals and 26 ranks.

The grand piano in the sanctuary was built in the Czech Republic by Petrof, spol. s r.o.

The handbells were made by Schulmerich Carillons, Inc of Sellersville, Pensylvania, and consist of three octaves. There are 37 bells ranging from C4 through C7, that is one octave below middle C through two octaves above middle C.
